Blogging 365 - Day 8

So it is officially one week since I started my blog. I have posted on my blog every day about what I have been up to and what I have made or are in the making of.

I am really pleased that there are people out there that actually bother to read this blog, so to you people I say a huge thank you!

Today I make a birthday blog promise. I am going to try my hardest to do a blog every day until the 4th April 2012. This will include what I have been up to, what’s up and coming in my crafting world and hopefully I will add some tutorials and other things so you can follow in my footsteps if you choose.

However I need some help from you. Leaving comments and becoming a follower of my blog will give me that little extra kick now and again that I envisage I will need in the coming months to keep me on track for my challenge of 365 blogs.

A free prize giveaway will also happen in the near future to reward one lucky follower who happens to leave a comment on a future blog I will label as "Bloggers Reward - Free Prize Giveaway" for supporting me and this blog.

Happy Blogging

Stephie :-)

Felt - Work In Progress!

I have had a lovely day out today with my husband in the sunshine. It's so nice to have the sun back in England instead of the rain!

This morning I have done some preparation for some felt hammerhead badges that I am going to be making. I will be making two of every colour in the rainbow and two white ones too.

Hammerhead badges in the making!

This is a picture of what they are like so far. An update will follow in the near future.

Have a great night and happy blogging :-)

Hammerhead Dolls

Good morning to you all.

Today I am going to make some more of my Hammerhead Dolls. I love making these little creatures. Each one is different and has its own character and name.

So let me introduce you to a few of them...

This one is called Groucho. He loves to play outside on the grass but does not like his tummy being tickled too much...

"My name is Alexas. My favourite colour is yellow and I love to eat honey and sit in the sunshine."

"My name is Marvin. My favourite colour is beige and I love spending time at the beach and playing in the sand." Marvin si very small and is attached to a keyring so you can carry him around all day!

In this picture there is Gaffa the tallest one and Checkers the smaller keyring version.

More of these will be on their way soon so keep an eye out.

Dinning For Two

Tonight I have got a friend visiting me so this post is going to have to be quite short and sweet.

We have just been out to a lovely little Italian restaurant down the road that we have both said 'We really should go there at some point.' numerous times before tonight and never have. Well we can now say that we have been there and ate that :-)  I will definitely go there again!

My friend that is staying is Julia Snowdin and she creates the most lovely knitted spirals that world has ever seen...ever!

These are pictures of some of the spirals she had made:

Thuds Throbs And Birds Of A Feather!

Don't you just hate it when you get home and you have the most almighty of headaches? Well that was me earlier on tonight. All I could feel was throb, throb, throb and all I could hear was thud, thud, and thud! Thankfully it has now gone away :-)

So my post for today is not about what I have been making or what I receiving through the letter box but rather what my eyes have been gazing at.

Whilst searching the World Wide Web I came across these scrumptious little birds and fell in love instantly!

I love the colours used to paint this little chap. I think it is the flecks of blue in his feathers that draws me in.
Mai Autumn - Looking for you.

The next little bird that caught my eye was this gorgeous robin. I must admit that whenever I see a robin my knees go weak and my heart says 'Ahhhh'.
Mai Autumn - Hush Now

Last but not least was this little chap.  I really like the way the bird has been painted in this one.

The more that I am writing about these the more I want to buy them. I think some heavy hinting to my other half is going to have to take place :-)

Parcel from the postman!

I was so excited today when I saw that a red van was parked outside our house and the postman was knocking at our door. This could only mean one thing - I have MAIL!!! :-)

One thing you should know about me is that I love to recieve mail, especially when it is crafty stuff.

So what did I get? Well... here it is...

1) Swarovski beads - I absolutely love the sparkle that emits from these beautiful beads when light shines upon them. I am thinking of making some cluster earrings from these perhaps - I will have to see.

 2) Bead Caps - You can never have enough bead caps. I love using them. I think it just adds that little bit extra to your work. These are a bit different to the ones I already have so it is going to be interesting to see what my peices look like when finished.

 3) More Bead Caps - Like I said above, you can never have too many bead caps :-)

 4) Acrylic Stripe Beads - I really like the colourfullness of these beads and the smoothness of their surface. I'm not quite sure what I am going to do with these as of yet but something will come of them.

 5) Adjustable Rings - I have got a couple of things that I wanted to try making into rings so I bought these to experiment with.

6) Gold Jump Rings - These are to fasten up some necklaces that I have partly made sitting patiently in my craft room.

 7) Gold Keyrings - I had run out of my keyring findings but the only colour they had left was gold. I'm going to try them and see how they look. I still need to get some silver ones though!

8) Glass beads - I really love these beads - Especially the green ones!

I can not wait to get using up all of the supplies - I just want to stay up all night making things!

Thank you for reading my blog :-) I will post again tomorrow for the next update in my world of craftyness.
