Making Felt Beads - Day 68

I have been making a few felt beads to make into some earrings. So far I have just prepared the roving into balls by needle felting them. They all still need wet felting before they can be made into earrings.

I have also had Miss Patch out tonight (our bunny) and had her sat on my lap stroking her for a while. She is ever so well behaved! She even licked my hand after stoking her -  I have never had a rabbit lick my hand before, it was very cute although I did go n wash my hands straight away :o)

Business Cards - Day 37

I am thinking of getting some business cards made but I am not really sure where to get them from or what photograph to use. There is MOO which print beautiful business cards but are quite expensive. I have also been told about 123Print who also do business cards but a bit cheaper.

I really like this photograph with my details on the back? I am really not sure!

Do you have and suggestions? Or recommend anywhere to get great business cards in the UK?

Thank you

Tea And Beads ... And Chocolate Shhh!!! - Day 23

I am very excited about the things I have been making today. So much so that I have actually stopped half way though my painting of my handmade beads so that I can share what I have been doing with you all.

My work table is never tidy when I'm making beads so please excuse the mess :-)

This is a picture from blog day 21 of 365 blogging showing some of the things I had made from a bit of leftover clay.

It's not the most exciting of pictures but read on and you will see what has now become of some of these things :-)

I am going to make a brooch out of the piece in the center with the pink flower on it. If you are quick off the mark you will notice that it is the round, flat piece of clay in the first picture. I think it looks far more attractive now that it is painted. All of the beads and buttons that you see in this photograph have been handmade by me out of clay and will soon be made into different forms of jewellery.

This is a photograph of what is to eventually become a brooch which will be unique for that oh so lucky person!

This is a handful of black and white beads that I have made that also now need to be varnished.

Last but definitely not least are these. They are my favourite and look amazing now that they are painted! The photograph does not do these justice nor can it portray how much cuteness that these little brooch tea cups hold.

I can not wait to finish these and make them into brooches.

What do you think? Do you like them?

Thank you for reading and see you again tomorrow :-)

Fabric Brooches - Works In Progress - Day 20

I have been busy today so I have not had any time to be crafting. However the house is quiet now and I am going to get on with some of my many things that are currently in progress to be finished. These are a few pictures of the things I will mainly be making into brooches but some will also be made into little bracelets, necklaces and rings. I will post these when they have been completed in one of my later posts but for now this is what I have...

Handmade clay beads - Day 14

I have been playing around with my camera so that I can show you some of the clay beads I have made...

They still need painting, drying, varnishing, drying, varnishing and then some more drying but the results afterwards will be gorgeous!

When I make things I very rarely make one, it's more like I stop when my hands hurt or I have run out so the following pictures are the rest that I made :-) ......

Later on tonight I think I am going to get my paints out for these, infact I will!

Going... Going... GONE! - Day 13

Another great day. I have just been into town and have found out that a few of my items have been sold :-)

I have a selection of items displayed in a small boutique in Huddersfield and some of them have been sold.

This lovely blue necklace has now gone to another home - This is one of my favourites, I am surprised I let it go.

And some small fuzzy pompom earrings!

It is so nice when people buy my creations, it gives me a great feeling and urges me to keep making.

They have now gone to a loving home...

Necklace Surface & Texture - Day 11

These are two of the necklaces I have made with my own handmade beads.

I really love the colours in this one. There are three clay beads that I handmade, tectured, painted and then finally varnished but also two felted beads that I did make myself too :-)

This next necklace is a lovely mixture of colours and textures...

I have used a large focal wooden bead for the center and then complemented this with a few hand painted clay neads and felt beads.
