Making Felt Beads - Day 68

I have been making a few felt beads to make into some earrings. So far I have just prepared the roving into balls by needle felting them. They all still need wet felting before they can be made into earrings.

I have also had Miss Patch out tonight (our bunny) and had her sat on my lap stroking her for a while. She is ever so well behaved! She even licked my hand after stoking her -  I have never had a rabbit lick my hand before, it was very cute although I did go n wash my hands straight away :o)

Flowers And Hearts Felt WIP - Day 67

Hasn't the weather been rather crazy lately? First sunshine, then heavy rain, then thunder and lightening, then sunshine, then more heavy rain, then sunshine! These weather people must be having a hard time :o)

So tonight, aside from making a lovely delicious lasagna and playing with out new bunny rabbit, I have been cutting out some bits of felt.

I think that I am going to make the large white felt flowers into headbands and make the hearts into ornaments? Or maybe key rings? I am not sure with the hearts yet. I am planning to add a few beads to them all too if i can find any that suit :o)

Once these are made I will be adding them to my folksy shop as some of the first items to go on sale in the new online store. I am thinking that my folksy shop is going to be entirely felt oriented? I will have to have a think on that one.

Felt WIP Finished - Day 19

I have finally finished my felt Hammerhead badges that I have mentioned in previous posts and I am really pleased with them.

I like the way that the black backing felt makes the colours stand out more and also unites them as a series! They are my fleet of RAINBOW HAMMERHEAD BADGES!

These have been made in red, yellow, pink, green, orange, purple, blue and white with two of each. These are a trial and will be added to my shop shortly.

Going... Going... GONE! - Day 13

Another great day. I have just been into town and have found out that a few of my items have been sold :-)

I have a selection of items displayed in a small boutique in Huddersfield and some of them have been sold.

This lovely blue necklace has now gone to another home - This is one of my favourites, I am surprised I let it go.

I really love the colours in this one. There are three clay beads that I handmade, tectured, painted and then finally varnished but also two felted beads that I did make myself too :-)

I have used a large focal wooden bead for the center and then complemented this with a few hand painted clay neads and felt beads.

Felt - Work In Progress!

I have had a lovely day out today with my husband in the sunshine. It's so nice to have the sun back in England instead of the rain!

This morning I have done some preparation for some felt hammerhead badges that I am going to be making. I will be making two of every colour in the rainbow and two white ones too.
